Throw It Down was a sponsor at the DCA finals in Rochester, Labor Day weekend. Friday night was a Drum Corps Block-Party downtown with I&E and Mini-Corps performances. A true Fan-Fest with great performances all around.
Throw It Down was a sponsor at the DCA finals in Rochester, Labor Day weekend. Friday night was a Drum Corps Block-Party downtown with I&E and Mini-Corps performances. A true Fan-Fest with great performances all around. For me the highlight of the weekend was the Alumni show on Sunday morning. Here is the line-up: Lots of Canadian representation eh.

3. Skyliners Alumni - New York, NY (Also great at Mini-Corps show)
4. Scout House Alumni - Preston, Ontario, Canada (short shorts & Waltzing Matilda)
5. Crusaders Sr. Corps - Boston, MA
6. Optimists - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
7. Bridgemen Alumni - Bayonne, NJ (Fun and strong musically) crowd went bananas.
8. Park City Pride - Bridgeport, CT (Always fantastic)
9. Caballeros Alumni - Hawthorne, NJ (Powerful & Mr. Russo leading)
Big crowd at finals on Sunday night. Reading Bucs are like the old Green Bay Packers minus Ray Nitschke.
Gasps from crowd when Hurricanes were announced in fourth place. ????
It would be great if more people were aware of a truly great weekend. The Drum Corps activity is very positive and upbeat. A slice of Americana.
For most of the crowd it seemed like old home week.
Will the word ever get out to the masses ? Can the marketing code be broken ?
